Throughout John’s career in fire protection & life safety, he has led teams across all areas of business for some of the most iconic companies in the fire protection industry. First, with Ansul/Tyco, he developed, built, and guided the merger process that led to an integrated Tyco Fire and Building Products division. Once the new models were in place, he led a regional sales team and helped generate the growth of a $125+ million sales portfolio.

He then joined The Hiller Companies to lead their efforts in growing their business organically through inspection, test, and maintenance-related services; acquiring and integrating fire protection contractor companies throughout the US; and identifying and deploying technology to improve service operations. These initiatives helped transform Hiller's business and grow top-line and bottom-line performance by more than 2.5x while driving operational efficiencies and improving customer experiences.

John Mackey is an innovative, collaborative, and forward-thinking leader with over 15 years of Senior-level experience in the fire protection and life safety industry; working for large OEMs and Contractors. He has extensive knowledge in building a compelling vision and driving financial results for growth-oriented organizations. John’s history of facilitating competitive advantages and new partnerships through developing robust strategies, solidifying operations, and building effective relationships has cemented his reputation in the industry. John, also a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, is known for strong integrity, influence, credibility, and a proactive communication style that cultivates consensus within diverse groups. Additionally, he is a valued coach and mentor who effectively prepares next-generation leaders to capitalize on emerging opportunities and to leverage an entrepreneurial mindset.
